GAL GADOT krytykowana za post o konflikcie Izraela i Palestyny

W ciągu ostatnich dni nastąpiła eskalacja konfliktu Izraelczyków z Palestyńczykami, której bezpośrednią przyczyną stała się kwestia wywłaszczenia arabskich rodzin z ich domów w Jerozolimie. Starcia trwają od piątku, doszło już do ostrzałów rakietowych i bombardowania Strefy Gazy. Temat poruszyła w mediach społecznościowych Gal Gadot, która pochodzi z Izraela i odbyła tam dwuletnią służbę wojskową. Jej słowa wzbudziły krytykę fanów.

Gadot napisała:

Pęka mi serce. Mój kraj jest w stanie wojny. Martwię się o rodzinę i przyjaciół, o moich ludzi. To okrutny cykl, który trwa już zbyt długo. Izrael zasługuje na to, by żyć jako wolny i bezpieczny kraj. Nasi sąsiedzi podobnie. Modlę się za ofiary i ich rodziny i o to, żeby ta niewyobrażalna wrogość się zakończyła. Modlę się za naszych liderów, aby znaleźli rozwiązanie, które pozwoli nam żyć w pokoju. Modlę się za lepsze dni.

Negatywne reakcje na Twitterze wzbudził fakt, że Gadot użyła słowa “sąsiedzi” zamiast napisać wprost o Palestynie i to, że aktorka wspiera Izrael w czasie jego ataków na Palestynę, sprawiając wrażenie propagandowego narzędzia rządu. Pojawiają się stwierdzenia, że Izrael nie jest w stanie wojny, ale regularnie zabija palestyńskie rodziny. Krytyka przeszła także na jej rolę Wonder Woman – już wcześniej fakt, że aktorka służyła w wojsku wywoływał pewne kontrowersje, na przykład w Libanie zakazano wyświetlania pierwszej części filmu o tej bohaterce.
